Timothy A. Bohling , known to all as Tim, passed away on September 25, 2016 as a result of an ATV accident in Brantingham, NY. Tim was son to Lisa and Ed Bohling and brother to Justin and Marilyn. In 2013 he married Justanna Gray whom he met at SUNY Morrisville where they both attended and received bachelor degrees.
Tim attended Sauquoit Valley Central School from preschool until he graduated in 2007. Tim participated in AYSO Soccer, Cross Country, Track and Football while in Middle School and High School. Tim worked at the Town Park with his sister starting at age 14 until age 22. He enjoyed teaching kids how to swim, lifeguarding, interacting with parents and camaraderie with the Park staff. Tim went on to Finger Lakes Community College and graduated with an Associates degree in Natural Resources Conservation in 2009. He completed his Bachelors degree in Renewable Resources in 2011 from SUNY Morrisville. Tim was employed as a Systems Engineer and Program Manager at PAR Government Systems Corporation in Rome, NY where he formed enduring friendships with his colleagues.
Tim was a happy and fun-loving person. He always had interesting and funny things to tell. He loved his wife, his family, and his close friends. He enjoyed immensely caring for the couple’s two dogs: Trent, a German-short-haired Pointer and Gunner, a Border Collie Lab mix, as well as two cats and a dozen chickens.
Tim could talk with anyone. He could also be very blunt and tell it as he saw it without meaning any harm. He was always willing to help anyone that needed help. We have had many of his peers say Tim was just a nice person to everyone. Many had told us the different ways he helped them.
He loved the outdoors, especially the Adirondacks, and enjoyed hunting and fishing with his wife or brother and hiking with the couple’s two dogs. Tim had opportunity to travel to many places in this country as well as to other countries. The week before he passed, he completed his first Spartan Run (an obstacle race) in Killington Vermont. We hope memories of him make people smile.
